Statement on the Passing of Stanley Faith

Former Prosecutor served from 1987 - 2003  

NEW ALBANY, March 19, 2019 – Floyd County Democratic Party Chair Adam Dickey made the following statement in regard to the passing of former Floyd County Prosecutor Stanley Faith:

“Our Democratic Party family mourns the passing of former Floyd County Prosecutor and local attorney Stanley Faith. Stan served his community for sixteen years as Prosecutor from 1987 until 2003.

“Stan Faith was an exceptional individual who saw his profession as a true calling. A stauch defender of those in need, he believed in the power of the law to balance the scales of justice and was a champion for those without a voice. While many will remember him for the cases he prosecuted, his true legacy will be in the compassion he felt for others and in his passion for civil rights and equality.  

“In addition to his public service, Stan served as a mentor to many local attorneys and volunteered his talent and treasure regularly to community organizations including the Navajo Nation.

“Our party extends our heartfelt sympathy to his wife Judy as well as their extended family and friends during this most difficult time.”
