Statement on the Passing of Sister Barbara Ann Zeller

Religious and Community Leader made a tremendous impact in Floyd County

NEW ALBANY, August 1, 2019 – Floyd County Democratic Party Chair Adam Dickey made the following statement in regard to the passing of Sister Barbara Ann Zeller. Zeller served as President and Chief Executive Officer of Guerin, Inc / Providence Self Sufficiency Ministries for 25 years:

“It was with a sense of deep sadness that I learned of the passing of Sister Barbara Ann Zeller late this evening. A remarkable faith, nonprofit, and community leader, her profound impact was felt throughout our region reflecting most in the lives of the foster children, families, and elderly she touched with her ministry.

“Sister Barbara was a rare personality who had a innate gift for calling forth the best in individuals. She bridged the divide between those of opposite viewpoints, different political backgrounds, and even difficult personality. Never one to seek the spotlight for herself, her mission was her passion and a true gift to our community.

“Our party extends our heartfelt sympathy to Sister Barbara’s family and friends during this most difficult time.”
