Grooms Out of Touch as he Seeks Third Term

NEW ALBANY, June 23, 2017 – Floyd County Democratic Party Chairman Adam Dickey issued the following statement after Senator Ron Grooms announced his intention to seek a third term.

Ron Grooms's Record reflects putting himself and corporate interests ahead of Hoosier Families.

“Nearly a decade of Ron Grooms in the State Senate is enough. He’s proved time and again he’s just out of touch with Hoosiers across Clark and Floyd counties. He’s eagerly supported more funding for for-profit schools in Indianapolis while Greater Clark is on the verge of closing two schools right here. Grooms voted to cut corporate taxes by 42 percent and then raised the gasoline tax Hoosiers pay on every gallon. Ron Grooms isn’t done with tolls either, if he had his way, he’d toll I-65 across the state. We look forward to Ron Grooms defending his record of putting himself and corporate interests before working Hoosier families’.”
